Saturday 24 February 2024, 11am - 6pm The British Library

To close the exhibition Fantasy: Realms of Imagination, this day of talks and discussions explored the creation of worlds within filmmaking and game-design with leading artists and thinkers.

We looked into their sources of inspiration in the fantasy genre and how it has influenced contemporary popular culture, and the impact of speculative design on our collective imagination.

These events have now taken place. You can watch the talks by following the links on the Events page.

This event accompanied the British Library exhibition Fantasy: Realms of Imagination (27 October – 25 February) supported by Wayland Games and Unwin Charitable Trust.

The World Builders: The Influence of Fantasy in Film and Games Design is co-curated and produced by Jo Paton Htay and Will Htay.
